Translation from Danish to English
This is how you get an English copy of the Danish news (or vice versa).
If you need an English version of the news (including modules), you have two options, depending on whether the website is mirrored or not.
Non-mirrored sides (two gray globes)
For non-mirrored pages, do the following:
- Right-click on the Danish news item
- Select 'Copying' and 'Copy to'
- Navigate to the English news archive and insert (copy) the item
The news has now been copied to the English part of the website, but still has a Danish language version. You must therefore:
- Select the just copied news item (Sitecore has automatically selected it)
- In the "Home" tab, click on "Move to English"
The news has now been moved to the English language version and you can now translate the news.
Mirrored sides (one gray globe)
If the website is mirrored (i.e. a gray globe that has Danish and English versions of the same pages), you must do the following:
- Select the news item
- Click the language button (top right) and select English
You will now get a warning that the current item does not have an English version:
- Add a new version
- Insert the English text.
If the news contains modules, the modules must also be created with an English version.
